Pilot Survey in Dumki Upazila

Heading to Dumki Upazila on August 29, 2024, to survey farmers was eye-opening for many members. Textbooks suddenly came alive as real farmers shared their actual struggles with crop yields, unpredictable weather, and market access. There's something humbling about listening to people whose livelihoods depend entirely on agriculture working despite challenges we'd only studied theoretically. Their practical wisdom was incredible. This experience reminded us why we're studying agriculture - not for grades or degrees, but to serve these communities. We left with notebooks full of data but, more importantly, hearts full of determination to create solutions that genuinely help.
