Local Committees

IAAS Bangladesh PSTU stands as the 2nd Local Committee to join the national alliance of IAAS Bangladesh, alongside 18 other local committees across the country — KU, HSTU, SAU, SAU-Dhaka, RU, MBSTU, IU, BAU, GSTU, JUST, KAU, GAU, IUBAT, HAU, BRUR, TU, DIU and CVASU. Established in 2018 under the constitutional principles of IAAS Bangladesh, the committee was founded by a group of forward-thinking agricultural students at Patuakhali Science and Technology University, with the first chapter of this inspiring story penned by its inaugural Director Sk Abidur Rahman.

Officially recognized by the administrative body of Patuakhali Science and Technology University, the committee serves as a structured and credible platform for students across the Faculties of Agriculture, Animal Science and Veterinary Medicine, Fisheries, Nutrition and Food Science and Environmental Science and Disaster Management. With a presence spanning both the main and outer campuses of PSTU; the committee currently comprises 8 Executive Members, a dedicated Quality Board and General Members with over 300 students of PSTU indirectly engaged in its mission.

Guided by the vision "Think Globally, Act Locally," IAAS Bangladesh PSTU has grown into one of the most active and accomplished committees in the national alliance. Over the years, it has published its own Newsletter, co-organized the 67th World Congress and successfully hosted the 4th National Congress; milestones that reflect the leading committee's commitment to excellence, knowledge exchange and youth leadership in agriculture. Through seminars, working camps, exchange weeks and a range of community-based development programmes, the committee continues to empower the next generation of agricultural leaders in Bangladesh and beyond.

The International Association of Students in Agricultural and Related Sciences (IAAS) Bangladesh GAU is the 13th Local Committee partnered with IAAS Bangladesh. Officially launched on October 17, 2024, at the GAU Old Auditorium , the committee operates under the global mission: “Think Globally, Act Locally.”

Guided by Local Director Thoufiqul Islam , the organization serves as a dynamic hub at Gazipur Agricultural University (GAU). It connects passionate youth to global networks while executing impactful academic, environmental, and leadership initiatives on campus.

IAAS Bangladesh GSTU: The Local Committee of IAAS Bangladesh in GSTU

IAAS Bangladesh IUBAT is the 16^th local committee of IAAS Bangladesh and the first private university committee to join the national alliance alongside 18 other local committees across Bangladesh. Established on 14 November 2024 by visionary students of the BSc in Agriculture program at International University of Business Agriculture and Technology, the committee was officially inaugurated on 24 December 2024.

Founded under the constitutional principles of IAAS Bangladesh, the committee was initiated by dedicated student leaders including Shahriar Mannan Imon Talukder, Sourav Kanti Bala, Roksana Alal Maria, Md Atikuzzaman Shuvo, Kamrul Hassan Rabbi, Shahoriar Sabbir Tulon, and Md Ahnaf Tahmid. Recognized by the IUBAT Registrar’s Office and guided by a 10-member Advisory Board led by the Dean of the College of Agricultural Sciences, IAAS Bangladesh IUBAT serves as a dynamic platform for agricultural students.

With the vision “Think Globally, Act Locally,” the committee promotes leadership, innovation, sustainability, and youth engagement through seminars, workshops, exchange programs, and community-based agricultural initiatives, empowering future agricultural leaders of Bangladesh.

IAAS (International Association of Students in Agricultural and Related Sciences) Bangladesh is a national network of young, motivated people interested in solving the issues that are affecting agriculture, society and shaping it for better tomorrow.

IAAS Bangladesh HSTU is a local committee of IAAS Bangladesh, officially joining the national network in 2020. Guided by the vision “Think Globally, Act Locally”, it serves as a platform for students of agriculture and related sciences at Hajee Mohammad Danesh Science and Technology University, Dinajpur.

The committee promotes leadership, academic excellence, innovation, and sustainable development through seminars, workshops, training programs, exchange opportunities, community service initiatives, national and international events. IAAS Bangladesh HSTU has also successfully organized several impactful programs and olympiads, including agricultural and environmental olympiads, to inspire students and enhance scientific knowledge among young learners.

Through its activities, IAAS Bangladesh HSTU continues to strengthen its presence within the national and international IAAS network, inspiring students to work for agricultural advancement, environmental sustainability, and community development while carrying forward the spirit of “Think Globally, Act Locally”.

IAAS Bangladesh HAU (International Association of Students in Agricultural and Related Sciences – Habiganj Agricultural University) is the first and largest student organization at Habiganj Agricultural University, with more than 120 active members. Dedicated to fostering leadership, professional development, and international cooperation among students in agriculture and related sciences, IAAS BD HAU serves as a vibrant platform for personal and academic growth.
